The Resonance of Transformation: Exploring Mantras, Sound Healing, and Celestial Connections

Image
(Image made through Canva without AI) In my recent practice, I've been exploring the transformative power of mantras and the healing properties of sound. I previously took the "Sorcery of Hekate" course by Jason Miller , where a significant component involved reciting the Hekate mantra, “IO HEKA IO HO,” each day. In this mantra, "IO" serves as an invocation to many Greek and Roman deities, "HEKA" translates to ‘beyond,’ and "IO HO" initiates a magical flow. By reciting this mantra daily, one connects to the Hekate Mandala, positioning the practitioner at the center, surrounded by Hekate, the Fates, and the Guardians of the Temple. Throughout the course, I learned about different aspects of the Goddess and her role as a leader among other powers. The Mandala figures can be adjusted based on the practitioner’s goals and the rituals performed. As the operator, being within the Mandala and consistently repeating the mantra links one to the Goddes...

Embracing Wild Authenticity: A Journey with the Goddess Artemis

Image
During this Wolf Moon, I decided to follow a ritual created by Nicole Gadbois. This ritual, known as the Initiation of Artemis, is meant to be performed during the Full Moon. As a patron of Apollo, I was eager to explore more about his Wild Luminous counterpart. As I mentioned in my earlier post, the Sun plays a significant role in my astrological chart, and I have always felt a strong connection to Sol. My personal journey has involved embracing femininity and finding balance between my fiery energy and the soothing qualities of water and flow. Nicole plans to publish her Artemis rituals in the future and has generously shared them with me privately. Her profound knowledge of the Goddess is truly remarkable, and I can’t think of anyone more fitting to delve into the mysteries of the Sovereign Goddess. During this ritual the operator chooses to fast or remain pure from drugs, sex or masturbation, or meat for three days before the Full Moon. On the night of the Full Moon, the magician w...

Mandala of Apollo: A Beacon of Creativity to Divine Connection

Image
Apollo was my introduction to the world of magic. I vividly recall being a middle schooler, longing to portray Apollo in our class's Greek Myth Reenactments, only to be told that as a girl, I should take on the role of Artemis. To me, Phoebus seemed incredibly radiant and powerful have always been captivated by the sun and its divine rays. Rather than being a night owl, I have consistently favored the tranquility of the morning and the vibrancy of the day. I was fascinated by the sun's fire and felt an inner light glowing within my chest. No matter how dark the surrounding world became, I knew I possessed my own fire, soul, and creativity. At nineteen, when I began college, I sensed a direct calling from Apollo. After undergoing a cleansing from harmful psychic burdens, I felt a deep need for spiritual healing and connection. That night, I dreamed of sun imagery, warm healing rays, and the transmutation of eternal fire and gold. Upon waking, I called out to clearly to Apollo,...

Embracing the Divinity of Venus: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Empowerment

Image
(Photo by Nicole Gadbios) A phrodite, Haniel, and the Elementals of Venus have become essential to my journey this year. I have connected more deeply with my feminine side than ever before, and it has been incredibly empowering. I perceive femininity as akin to the ocean; it ebbs and flows, yet can turn cold and precise in an instant. For many years, I associated being womanly with weakness, leading me to adopt a more androgynous or masculine demeanor. I believe this can be traced back to societal conditioning that seeks to dominate and control anything feminine, but I digress. What I have cherished about learning from Venus and her abundant blessings is her ability to fully embrace her emotions. Many people view feelings as irrational, and while impulsive actions that hurt others are indeed problematic, disconnecting from emotions can be even more frustrating. Emotions arise for a reason—are they tied to preconceived notions from your upbringing, or is someone trying to assert power o...

The Untapped Potential of Mercurial Communication

Image
Saint Raphael and Mercury have bestowed numerous blessings upon me throughout the years. I've discovered that my astrological chart reveals a natural talent in careers with marketing and communication. I have thrived in nearly every job I've held; if I secured an interview, I am almost guaranteed an offer. My Mercurial blessings and abilities have flourished as I've grown more self-assured and grounded. As a teenager, I was often anxious—creative, yet hesitant to engage with others. Just yesterday, in my shop, I invoked Saint Raphael, asking him to fill the space with his divine presence and blessings. Almost immediately, I felt a surge of creativity and enjoyed engaging conversations with my guests. I couldn't help but chuckle when the typically grouchy vendor came in and chatted with me for thirty minutes about various topics. My supervisor noticed this and found it amusing, knowing how grumpy this gentleman usually is. Being personable and able to connect with others...

Please consult a professional counselor and therapist in addition to using alternatives healing methods. This blog is authored by Calla Marie Rowan of Contemporary Mystic and Witches in the Kitchen. As I journey further along my magical path and practice, I’ve uncovered many connections between my trauma healing and the expression of the essential parts of myself needed for true empowerment. Magic serves as a toolkit for navigating the world, while healing is about achieving wholeness. Currently, I'm reading "No Bad Parts" by Richard Schwartz , which is rooted in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy Model. This exploration, combined with my magical practice, has reinforced my belief that humans are part of a greater unity and the divine, and that every aspect of myself is crucial for my well-being. For those unfamiliar with it, the Intern...

Jupiter Cash Flow Jar

Image
Ingredients Required: Basil Money Drawing Powder Agate Pyrite Candle Orange Essential Oil Jar Cash On a Thursday during the hour of Jupiter, gather the items for your cash flow jar. Start by placing the agate, pyrite, money drawing powder, and basil into the jar. Fold the bills and anoint them with the orange essential oil before adding them to the jar. While you do this, meditate on the opportunities that are opening up. Imagine yourself on an island where various rivers converge, symbolizing multiple income sources and revenue streams. Once you've completed this, seal the jar and anoint the candle with the orange essential oil. Form a triangle with your hands and recite this prayer: By Earth, the Body of the Gods By Water, their flowing blood By Air, the breath of the Gods By Fire, their burning soul May these offerings be blessed and purified. As you speak these words, envision any impurities in the offerings being washed away, blown away, and burned away. In the name of ABLANAT...
