Combating the Evil Eye: Practical Steps

Jealousy is a prevalent human emotion, often rooted in personal insecurities. It frustrates me greatly when people lash out at others instead of concentrating on their own development. The evil eye is a curse usually cast through a malevolent glance, usually fueled by jealousy. Recently, someone subconsciously directed the evil eye at me. There was a toxic individual who, whether intentionally or not, acted disrespectfully towards me. When I kindly asked them to change their behavior otherwise I would remove myself from the situation, they chose to ignore me and bad mouth me claiming I was being harsh.

After a third party confronted the toxic person about their actions, they sent me an apology through text. Upon reading their message, I suddenly experienced a headache and a feeling of dread and unease. My heart began to race rapidly, and I wondered if it was merely anxiety stemming from my disdain of confrontation. I also perceived the apology as lacking sincerity, which led me to wonder if it was merely my emotions getting the better of me. When I finally returned home, I noticed that one of my evil eye earrings, which I had worn for over five years, had fallen off. Typically, when protective amulets break or are lost, it signifies that they have fulfilled their purpose. A friend conducted a reading for me and confirmed it was malefic.

I felt hurt and confused by this person’s evil eye. It was a reasonable boundary and we had a friendly relationship. Regardless, I cleansed myself right away.

I began with a cleansing bath. Prepared a mixture by boiling water with cloves, cayenne pepper, rosemary, basil, and salt. As the water reached a boil, I recited this prayer while creating a triangle shape with my hands above the pot:

In the name of ABLANATHANALBA

By Jupiter, by Jove, by Bethor, by Sachiel, by Jophiel and Hismael

By the Divine Power that created all things with the sound of a voice

I ask you to bless, purify, and sanctify this water through your heavenly grace.

Cayenne Pepper

Cloves

Rosemary

Basil

Salt

I call upon you

Grant this water the strength to dispel malevolence and ailments

And to remove any jealousy and ill will

Let this water purify me, dispelling envy and the evil eye,

And mend the wounds inflicted by jealous hearts

Amen

I applied this mixture to the top of my head while showering, then used it to wash the back of my neck and my feet. After drying off, I offered a prayer and lit a candle for my guardian spirits and allies, seeking their assistance to dispel the evil eye and for protection. I bought new earrings and wore my other jewelry for protection. Through this experience, I discovered that the evil eye can be more insidious than a direct curse. It manifests subtly, aiming for someone's misfortune rather than a blatant magical attack. The physical symptoms resembled typical human emotions and physical discomfort, making them easier to overlook. To add to the situation, this individual wasn't even a committed practitioner. They were merely a toxic person who disliked my boundaries but still held enough influence to launch a psychic attack. Keep this in mind through situations in your day to day life and conduct yourself according.

Another recommendation I have is to keep a glass of salt water by the front door or on a windowsill. This will help absorb any negative energy from malefic influences. Be sure to pour it out outside once a week and replace it shortly after.

Managing evil eye requires both magical and practical approaches. I ended up messaging the person back saying I accepted the apology and that we could be respectful in public settings. I waited a few weeks then blocked the individual. They frequently post and tag mutual friends, and witnessing those posts became personally frustrating.

I maintain boundaries by not publicly sharing my achievements and using business pages for announcements. I only tell close friends and families in person about accomplishments. I regularly review my followers and remove or mute energy drainers. Do you regularly take spiritual baths? Consider incorporating a review of your friendships into your routine, particularly digital ones. It's essential to recognize that not everyone on social media is a true friend, and keeping aspects of my life private can help avoid negativity and subconscious evil eye, especially when dealing with group dynamics. Malefic energy can build up over time from multiple sources, exacerbating symptoms. For me, this is particularly frustrating, as it turns simple tasks into challenges due to physical discomfort.

I find that a deep cleansing or cursing back tends to be more draining on energy compared to practical boundary maintenance.

A significant lesson I've learned as I've aged is that not everyone has good intentions towards me, and not everyone deserves a glimpse into my private life. You are not obligated to anyone; while you can maintain respect in public, feel free to mute or delete as you deem necessary on social media. I have embraced a mindset of indifference; I owe nothing to anyone except to those I cherish and to the love I have for myself.

While magic can safeguard your realm and kingdom, it's essential to implement practical solutions to protect yourself and your energy as well. Establish boundaries to safeguard your inner peace.
